Deposit

To make a booking with Glen Ora Hunting Adventures you will be required to pay a deposit of 25% to confirm your booking.  25%, one month before your arrival and the remainder at the end of your stay.

Insurance

It is strongly recommended that you take out travel insurance before you come as you will not be covered in New Zealand should the unforeseen happen. You also need to insure any property you bring with you.

Liability

While we pride ourselves in the safety of you and your belongings during your stay, we will not be held liable against an accident, injury, illness or for loss of property during your stay here.

Cancellation Policy

The 25% deposit when booking is not refundable. However should you need to cancel, this deposit will be transferred to a new booking for you at a later stage, BUT must be re-booked within the same year as your original booking.

Postpone your booking - same applies, the new booking MUST be re-booked within the same year as your original booking.

Equipment/clothing

It is important to bring plenty of warm/dry clothing with you, the weather here can get quite cool and very wet at times. Rain jackets, leggings, hats, gloves are also a must. Should you need to purchase some or all of these items, it can be arranged once you arrive in Palmerston North. We would need to know this in advance as to allow time.

Getting Here

Your International flight will land at Auckland International Airport. Once here you will be required to go through Customs, then you need to catch a connecting flight to Palmerston North Airport from the domestic terminal. This will be on Air New Zealand Link.
Your travel agent will help you with all this, and fill you in with customs etc.

New Zealand Firearms Laws

For those overseas hunters wishing to bring their own firearms into New Zealand; it is advisable to contact customs at your nearest International Airport as to rules and regulations. Pistols are NOT permitted into New Zealand.

Importing firearms into New Zealand

When you arrive in New Zealand you must:

  • Declare all firearms to Customs Officials.
  • Declare all firearms to New Zealand Police.
  • Apply for a Visitors Firearms Licence (T licence) which is valid for one year. 
  • Apply to the Airport Police at the International Airport for a Permit to Import.

There will be a fee of $25.00 for your Visitors Licence and you must show Police your:

  1. Passport
  2. Your own firearms licence
